If you have ever tried to compose an HTML email or build a website you know how hard it can be to do.

I have a tip for you if you have Outlook Express. This is a very fast and easy way to build a website or create the HTML code for your email messages. A website or HTML email is just a code that your computer reads and turns into graphics. If you don't know how to write this code this is what you can do to get it.

Open Outlook Express and click on New Mail.

Select Format from the top then select Rich Text (HTML) This will allow you to select text colour, size and the font of your message. You can also paste banners or whole websites into the message and edit them the way you like.

Make sure that "Source Edit" is selected in the "View" menu
and you will notice that 3 buttons appear at the bottom of the screen - "Edit" "Source" "Preview". If you are entering a mailing list code box or any HTML you will have to click on Source and paste the code in. When you click Preview the box will appear.

You can also edit this code so that banners in your message or on your website point to the website you want when someone clicks them. Do this by changing the website address in the Source.

When you have finished Editing and the message is looking the way you want click Preview and be sure all the links etc. work. When you are ready to get the HTML code which will now be your website or HTML message click Source.

This will convert your message or website to HTML.

Copy and Paste all of this code into the HTML reader on your website or paste it into the HTML source of your email programme or auto-responder and it will appear exactly the way it did in your email message. Be sure to verify this by clicking Preview.
